Costa Rica is his home away from the Ocoee It's common knowledge in the Ocoee River community that "Ticos" - Costa Ricans - make some of the best river guides around, and Evandre is no exception! 2011 will be Evandre's fourth season with the Ocoee Adventure Center, his fifth on the Ocoee River, and his eleventh season overall. He's worked other world class whitewater rivers in California and Costa Rica in addition to the Ocoee. Evandre's wife Sarah is a welcome addition to the OAC outpost when she can get away, but as a practicing Pediatrician, sadly that's not often enough. We're also a little sad that in 2010 Evandre won't be around the Ocoee as much, but Sarah has had an offer she couldn't refuse in Charleston, SC. Evandre promises to still make special appearances, so be sure to check in with our friendly reseravtions staff to make sure he's available when you plan your trip! |
