Spring is here and we are quickly approaching OAC’s opening weekend of April 7. Flowers are in bloom, reservations are being made, guides are starting to make their trek back to Tennessee and boats are being brought out of hibernation. The anticipation is starting to fill the outpost with excitement. Every season on the Ocoee is slightly different. The unique sights, sounds and smell of the spring season is breathtaking. The Appalachian flora and fauna are waking up, providing colorful views and eventful interactions around the river. If your goal is to spot a black bear or bald eagle, this time of the year provides the highest chance. Come take a trip down the river, or a bike ride through the mountains to see why Spring is my favorite time of the year!
