Ocoee River Rafting
The Ocoee Adventure Center is more than a rafting outpost in Ducktown, Tennessee. OAC’s staff of outdoor professionals has the focused purpose of “providing the absolute highest quality adventure experience for our guests.” This philosophy is applied to everything we do from half day rafting trips on the Ocoee River to multi day kayaking adventures in the Cherokee National Forest. The quality of our guests’ experience and their satisfaction are the first and foremost concerns on all our trips.

We offer the best rafting trips from our outpost at the eastern gateway to the Cherokee National Forest. We hope you’ll visit our cozy log cabin – sit a spell on the porch, enjoy a picnic alongside our cool mountain stream and browse in our store for a great T-shirt or souvenir to take home with you.

Our Management
Larry Mashburn, our founder, came to the Ocoee as a whitewater slalom course manager for the 1996 Ocoee Olympics, fell in love with the area and never left. He started Ocoee Adventure Center with a grand total of five rafts he stored in a chicken wire cage! Now, OAC has many rafts. Larry loves everything outdoors and serves as general manager. Stop in and meet him and all our dedicated and capable staff.
Cam Guy, our Operations Manager, literally grew up in the industry at her family’s rafting outpost on the Ocoee River.
Quality Outdoor Experience With OAC
We believe your quality experience with OAC is created from a host of important factors. We don’t cut corners. The attractiveness and cleanliness of our outpost is actively provided by our dedicated custodial and maintenance staff. Therefore everything stays clean, functional and attractive. Our river guides clean, sanitize, and hang dry our PFDs (personal flotation devises) after every trip. As a result our PFDs stay clean and odor free. OAC’s management staff keeps our river gear up to date and replaces any gear showing wear. Our retail and office staff assure you friendly and helpful service when you check in or make reservations. Our experienced and friendly bus drivers strive keep you safe while you travel to and from your adventure.

Our Cozy Cabin Outpost
Y’all come on in!
Our outpost building is a replica 1838 log cabin built from trees grown on our local property. Grab a rocking chair—our front porch is where it all begins and everyone likes relaxing here. It’s nice and cool in the summer and there are always lots of fun stories and tall tales being swapped when our rafters come in after their trip on the river.
There’s a great store inside the Outpost with the world’s largest selection of Ocoee River T-shirts and other cool souvenir stuff, plus snacks and drinks.

We’ll get the proof… our photos from your rafting trip are available for viewing and purchase immediately after your trip. Our friendly staff are always ready to answer any of your questions.
Hot Showers And Clean Bathrooms
Clean bathrooms and hot showers are here for your convenience, too! Just behind the outpost store so you can come off your Ocoee River rafting or other adventure trip and get cleaned up and dried off.
