Ocoee Adventure Center was started in 1997 by Larry Mashburn. With support form a diverse management team of guides, kayakers, trainers, and outdoor enthusiasts OAC is setting the standard in outdoor recreation.

Rafting Season

Ocoee Adventure Center’s rafting season normally begins in mid March and runs through the first of November. We offer competitive wages and benefits. Most positions are entry level However senior and management positions do come available from time to time. Raft guide training begins in April and runs through May

Seasonal Employment

We are a seasonal business so it is difficult to offer full time work. However we try to provide our staff with steady employment during our season. During the summer months we expect everyone to work. Time off during peak times is not likely but we try to comply with reasonable requests. Scheduling trips and providing our guests with the best experience on the Ocoee River is our priority. That means their scheduling needs and enjoyment come first!

Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace

Ocoee Adventure Center cares about the safety of our guests as well as our staff. Requiring pre-employment and random drug/alcohol testing for all CDL drivers. Expect post accident drug/alcohol testing by the Company, the Forest Service, TDEC or insurance company. Any employee allowing drugs or alcohol to affect their work is subject to termination.

Personal Appearance

A professional appearance is a requirement. We expect you and your clothing and gear to be clean and presentable. You should maintain your gear and to replace it when worn. Showering daily and smelling good for our guests is important. We require good judgment on your part. Your conduct on our property, the river, while at work, and in the community is a reflection of our company culture.

Pet Policy

For the safety of our guests and other employees you must obtain permission from your manager BEFORE bringing your pet onto the outpost property or into the guide housing area.

Guide Housing

We provide housing is free of charge as availability allows. Our housing is open-air bunkhouses and cabins. You will have a roommate. We do not guarantee housing placement. Please contact our manager immediately if you need housing.
