Your dream job is waiting! Each year we invite enthusiastic new folks to join our staff of adventure professionals. Our company includes approximately 50 employees. We have jobs ranging from reservationists to raft guides. Our season runs from March through October with the peak season in June, July, and August.
We receive numerous applications every year. However, working at OAC requires a serious commitment to providing great customer service and teamwork with other staff members. Raft Guide
All raft guide applicants must be at least 18 years of age! A friendly outgoing personality is a must. Because you will be the face of our company on the water with our guests. Raft guiding is physical so you need to be in relatively good shape. No experience is necessary as we provide all the training to the right applicants. You must have strong customer service skills. Additionally, you should be comfortable outside as well as enjoy the outdoors. Guiding rafts is a serious commitment physically and mentally. So please be prepared to work hard. However, guiding is also a fun job. Your office will be in the beautiful Cherokee National Forest. What could be better?
CPR and First Aid certifications are required. We provide these classes if you need them.

Reservationists and Retail Postions

Reservationists
This position requires a friendly phone voice as well as excellent customer service skills. Basic computer skills are necessary. But we will provide specialized training on our reservation software to the right applicants. You must have a flexible schedule and be available on weekdays and weekends.
We are looking for both full and part-time positions.
Retail Clerk
This job has many responsibilities which include greeting guests at our outpost. You will also be patiently helping them to fill out paperwork and waivers for trips. Day-to-day operations of a retail store will be your responsibility. Daily tasks include completing checkouts, merchandising, and cash management. You will maintain a clean and professional-looking store. Also, some computer experience is needed. However, we will train you on the specifics. Excellent customer service skills are a must. A friendly deposition is also a must. You will have to multi-task with a flexible and pleasant personality.
