From the majestic Bald Eagle to the diminutive Ruby-throated Hummingbird, the variety of birds to see in this region is extraordinary. With the right knowledge and equipment, bird watching in Northern Georgia can be a rewarding and enjoyable experience.

Northern Georgia is home to a wide range of avian species. Thus making it a prime bird watching destination. The region features diverse habitats, from lowland wetlands to mountain balds and hardwood forests. Thereby, providing habitat for many species of birds, from the large raptors such as Bald Eagles to the small, colorful passerines such as the Indigo Bunting.
