Directions from Chattanooga to Copperhill and the Ocoee River:

Take I-75 North out of Chattanooga. Go approximately 20 miles. Take Exit 20 and take a right at the top of the exit ramp. This road is the Cleveland bypass. Go 6 miles to the US 64 East exit. Take this exit and travel for approximately 35 miles. You will drive past Parksville Lake, past the lower rafting section and past the Ocoee Whitewater Center, home of the 1996 Olympic whitewater slalom event. When you pass the Ocoee Whitewater Center, go approximately 3 more miles and you will start to see Outfitter signs. We are the second Outpost on the left.

Allow extra time for the 2 lane road through the Ocoee gorge – driving is often slow with lots of tourists watching the fun on the river, and rafting buses taking customers to the put-in.

PaddleMan hint: Remember to allow plenty of time to make your reservation time. Trips must leave our outpost on time! The river gods are very unhappy with tardiness.
