Mountain View Orchards two peaches

Mountain View Orchards

Georgia may be known as the “Peach State” but here in the north GA mountains and Ocoee River area, apples are the primary fruit crop. So load up the family and don’t forget your camera because you’ll want to head over to Mountain View Orchards, located just minutes from Ocoee Adventure Center! Mountain View Orchards offers pick your own apples grown at their old-fashioned orchard or already picked in nine varieties. They have apple pies, jams and jellies, cider and honey. Come out to enjoy the mountain scenery and sit around a campfire with smores in season!

Family owned and operated orchard

This peaceful family owned and operated orchard offers the beautiful scenery of the Appalachian Mountains within an authentic small farm orchard setting. You can stroll through the rows of apple trees, pick some of the perfectly ripe crop, and visit the rustic Cider House Cafe for a home-cooked southern meal. The homemade fried pies are a guest favorite that will surely provide the autumn-inspired flavor you’re looking for! Tucked away in McCaysville, Georgia, Mountain View Orchards is one of the best kept secrets in the Ocoee River area, with seasonal wagon rides, fresh pressed cider, and U-Pick seasons with over 20 varieties of apples.

Cozy country store

In their cozy country store, you can choose from an assortment of homemade butters, jams and jellies and other gifts. Bags of pre-packed apples are always available. Don’t forget the “Georgia peaches” while in season!

Lunch

You can grab a quick lunch in the cozy Cider House Cafe, now serving lunch Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. and located on the Mountain View Orchard property. Hours are extended for the months of fall harvest, September-November.

Produce

Mountain View Orchards promises only the freshest produce!

Buying from their market, you will never have to worry about getting a tomato that has been picked green and trucked 1,500 miles or a melon grown in a hothouse and has no flavor. What you buy from the Orchard is filled with flavor and natural goodness!

Ocoee River Rafting

If you’re looking for something to do when your Ocoee River rafting trip is complete, make the drive to Mountain View Orchards for some fresh fruit and a one of kind experience! You can always call ahead and reserve a wagon ride that’s sure to make your next vacation to our area memorable!
