Former Ocoee Whitewater Center
The Ocoee Whitewater Center was just a few miles west of Ocoee Adventure Center. This whitewater center hosted whitewater slalom events during the 1996 Olympic games. The designers and engineers narrowed one quarter mile of the Upper Ocoee’s riverbed from 200 feet to 70 feet in width to increase in speed and power.
Sadly the Ocoee Whitewater Center was lost to a fire in April of 2022
