White water rafting in Tennessee with the Ocoee Adventure Center is the perfect adventure for
The Ocoee River is one of the country’s most popular whitewater rafting destinations! Hundreds of thousands of people safely navigating the river every year. Guaranteed, dam-controlled releases help insure the perfect water level, even during hot, dry summers. Great camping and cabin rentals in the area make it easy and affordable to find a place to stay. But the exhilarating whitewater keeps folks coming back year after year.
When you raft with us, you’ll enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere. We “play” down the river while other outfitters only focus on getting you as quickly as possible. Another key component that makes rafting on the Ocoee River with us an unforgettable experience is our fun-loving and highly trained guides. From the best swimming spots to surfing the hydraulics, our professional and friendly guides guarantee an Ocoee rafting trip full of fun and adventure.
The Ocoee River has 2 separate sections, the Upper Ocoee and the Middle Ocoee. Each is 5 miles in length, and we spend about 2 hours on the river for each section … that’s 33% more than other Ocoee River Rafting outfitters. Both sections are appropriate for anyone over the age of 12.
We offer Middle Ocoee Rafting trips on weekends from mid-March through Memorial Day, every day except Tuesday and Wednesday from Memorial to Labor Day, and weekends only from Labor Day through the end of October.
Full River Rafting Trips of the Upper and Middle Sections are available weekends only from Memorial Day through Labor Day. See our Ocoee Rafting Calendar for exact dates. On weekends between Memorial Day and Labor Day we are lucky enough to be able to offer our favorite Ocoee Rafting trip, the Full Ocoee River Trip, featuring 5 miles of class III – IV whitewater rafting on the Upper Ocoee, including the Olympic Course used for the 1996 Olympic Canoe and Kayak slalom events. After the Upper Ocoee you’ll enjoy a hearty lunch, then continue down five miles of class III rapids on the Middle Ocoee.
