Double Trouble Rapid Video Blog

Two Large Standing Waves Give this Rapid the Name Double Trouble.

Double Trouble is a southeastern benchmark class III rapid and photo-op staple of Ocoee River rafting. Double Trouble begins immediately below Hell’s Half Mile rapid and ends in a large pool. The big waves are sure to please and get you wet while photographers take pictures of your crew. See our video of three different runs of Double Trouble:

Rafts generally run Double Trouble beginning river right and working left through small waves and ledges to the wave train. The wave train begins with two large standing waves with a third breaking wave lurking out of sight behind the other waves. The breaking wave makes a big splash and often memorable photos. Playboaters often surf the standing waves while onlookers and photographers watch from the beach on river right.

Book your Middle Ocoee Rafting Trip with OAC; we take time to play down the river. At Ocoee Adventure Center, Adventure is our middle name.
