Hillcrest Orchards

Hillcrest Orchards near Ellijay, GA is a seasonal business open during the months of September, October & November. Hillcrest is family owned and operated and has been growing apples and fun for children, adults and seniors since 1946. The U-Pic Festival features pig races, cow milking, wagon rides and playgrounds! They also have a farm market, great food, an onsite bakery and mini-golf!

Located Near Copperhill and Blue Ridge

Visit one of the most popular apple orchards in the Ocoee River area! Hillcrest is a short 45 minute drive from the Ocoee Adventure Center outpost. Weekday admission is $8.00 per person and includes the petting farm, wagon rides and all the playgrounds- including the giant slides! Check out the most unique petting farm anywhere. These animals are not in cages to be viewed through bars!. All of the farm animals are gentle enough to be petted and they are eager to be hugged by you!

Onsite Bakery

The bakery is open every day and offers goodies such as fried apple pies, apple cider doughnuts and their famous apple fritters. The farm market is also open every day and has bushels and bushels of tree ripened apples, cider, canned goods, honey, baskets, peelers, toys and so much more! So plan to fill your shopping bags at Hillcrest!. Make sure and try the cider slush! It’s a crowd favorite!

Red & Golden Delicious, Rome Beauty, Pink Lady, Mutsu,Granny Smith, Fuji, Cameo, Winesap, Honey Crisp, Gala, Jonagold, Arkansas Black, Gold Rush, Pinata, Ambrosia & Yates

GREAT WEEKEND FUN!

Pick your fun at the annual "Apple Pickin’ Jubilee" where you can pick your own apples, milk a cow and watch the swimming pig races! Plus there are live bands and cloggers on the Hillcrest Stage. Admission is only $12.00 per person and the festival is held on weekends in September and October!

The Hillcrest “Cowfe”and Grill is open on festival weekends and serves burgers, hot dogs, BBQ, fries, grilled corn on the cob, chicken on a stick, fried oreos, funnel cakes, ice cream and lots more!

They work all year, pruning in the winter, planting in the spring and adding new attractions in the summer! Additions this year include the first & only Apple Tree Maze in the Southeast and racing ducks! Hillcrest takes great pride in their family farm as an agritourism destination and plans to continue providing wholesome family entertainment as they share their farm with you! Directions to Hillcrest Orchards from Ocoee Adventure Center:

  1. Turn left or east onto US Highway 64 and continue 2.3 miles.
  2. Merge onto TN-68 on the right.
  3. Continue 3.5 miles into Copperhill/McCaysville, GA.
  4. At the 3-way stop turn right onto GA Highway 5.
  5. Follow GA-5 10 miles into Blue Ridge.
  6. Turn right onto US Highway 76.
  7. Follow Highway 76 15.4 miles.
  8. Turn left onto US Highway 52.
  9. Follow Hwy 52 for 8.2 miles and you will see the signs for Hillcrest Orchards.
