Whitewater rafting Double Suck rapid on the Middle Ocoee River can be a fun and thrilling experience. Double Suck is below Moon Chute rapid and directly above Hell’s Half Mile rapid on the Middle Ocoee River. This rapid is named Double Suck for the two back to back hydraulics at the bottom. The rapid begins mildly with a little rock dodging and a few small ledges. Towards the bottom near a large boulder island the pace picks up as the raft approaches a large ledge. Below the ledge are two back to back holes or hydraulics. The second hole is much stickier than the first.
